EZQuiz AI is a Chrome extension that helps students study from quiz questions by providing AI-powered hints, answers, and explanations. This Privacy Policy explains what information EZQuiz AI collects, how it is used, and how you can contact us.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and operate EZQuiz AI:

Account information: your email address and authentication information when you create an account or sign in.
Quiz content you submit: screenshots, typed questions, extracted question text, answer choices, and related content that you choose to send for a hint, answer, or explanation.
AI response data: hints, answers, explanations, and related usage information returned by the AI service.
Usage and entitlement data: information such as your plan status, daily free solve count, AI request type, model used, and token usage counts.
Payment and subscription information: subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by EZQuiz AI.
Technical information: basic server logs, request metadata, and error information needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide hints, answers, and explanations requested by the user.
Authenticate users and manage account sessions.
Track free solve usage and Pro subscription status.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Improve reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
Respond to support requests.

AI Processing

When you request a hint, answer, or explanation, the quiz content you submit may be sent to our server and then to an AI provider to generate the requested response. This may include the screenshot image, typed question text, extracted page text, or both. Do not submit information that you do not want processed by an AI service.

Third-Party Service Providers

EZQuiz AI uses trusted service providers to operate the extension and website:

Vercel for hosting the website and API routes.
Supabase for authentication, account data, database storage, and usage tracking.
Stripe for checkout, payment processing, and subscription management.
OpenAI for AI processing of submitted quiz content and generating responses.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting.
We do not collect browsing history for unrelated purposes.
We do not access page content unless you use the extension to capture or submit a question.
We do not store your payment card details.

Data Retention

Account, subscription, and usage records are kept as long as needed to provide the service, enforce free usage limits, maintain billing records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Quiz content submitted for AI processing is used to fulfill the request and may be processed by our service providers according to their policies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS for data transmission and server-side API keys for AI requests. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Your Choices

You can choose not to submit a screenshot or typed question. You can also uninstall the extension at any time. To request account deletion or ask privacy-related questions, contact us at brendan@ezquizai.com.

Children

EZQuiz AI is intended for users who are old enough to create and manage an online account under applicable law. If you are using EZQuiz AI for schoolwork, use it only where AI assistance is allowed and with any required permission from a parent, guardian, teacher, or school.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
